Air India to Resume Delhi–Tel Aviv Direct Flights from January 2026

Date:

Air India will relaunch its direct flight service between New Delhi and Tel Aviv starting January 1, 2026, marking a significant step in boosting tourism and economic ties between India and Israel. The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced that the service will operate five times a week, from Sunday to Thursday, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
According to the new schedule, flights from Tel Aviv will depart at 11:40 AM and arrive in Delhi at 8:50 PM, while flights from Delhi will take off at 7:00 AM and land in Tel Aviv at 9:55 AM, ensuring smooth connections for travelers.
In addition to Air India’s return, Israeli airline Arkia has expressed interest in reopening its direct routes to Indian cities, including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Goa. The carrier is reportedly considering deploying its long-range Airbus A321neo LR jets for the service.
Galit Hoffman, Consul for Tourism Affairs at the Israel Ministry of Tourism in India, hailed the move as a “game-changer,” emphasizing that the renewed connectivity will make it easier for Indian travelers to explore Israel’s cultural and historical attractions. She said Israel is “ready to welcome Indian tourists with open arms.”
