Dipke Ridicules Modi’s Video on New Anti-Paper Leak Legislation

Date:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently unveiled a video expressing his support for the newly passed Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026. Modi described the legislation as a critical advancement towards maintaining the integrity of examination systems in India, emphasizing a commitment to taking firm action against the so-called “paper mafia” responsible for exam malpractices.

However, the announcement has not been without its critics. Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), took to social media to voice his disapproval. He criticized the Prime Minister’s appearance in the video while challenging the notion that stricter laws alone would effectively resolve the persistent issue of exam paper leaks.

The CJP has further argued that the new bill prioritizes punitive measures over preventive strategies. The party has called for comprehensive structural reforms within the examination system, advocating for increased transparency and specific changes to the operations of the National Testing Agency (NTA).

While the government positions the amendment as a step towards enhancing exam credibility, the debate highlights a divide over how best to address the challenges of maintaining a fair and secure examination process. The CJP’s stance suggests a need for a broader approach that goes beyond mere legislative changes to include systemic reforms and oversight enhancements.
