Trump Expands Trade Crackdown: 7 More Countries Face Tariff Pressure

Date:

President Trump is broadening his campaign to reset trade relations by sending out another wave of tariff letters. These notices serve as stern warnings to US trading partners: accept new trade terms or face harsh financial consequences.
Fourteen countries already received their notices earlier this week, outlining significant tariff hikes. Now, seven more are on the list, and even more could follow. This aggressive push comes as Trump works to reinforce his “America First” economic strategy.
Despite the high-stakes rhetoric, Trump reported positive developments with major partners. Agreements have been finalized with China and the UK, while trade talks with India are said to be nearing a resolution.
The deadline for compliance has been postponed from July 9 to August 1. But this is where the line is drawn. “All tariffs will be enforced starting August 1,” Trump declared, making it clear that there will be no further extensions.
