UAE Indian Embassy Launches Direct Booking for Passport, Visa Services

Date:

The Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have launched a streamlined system for handling passport, visa, and attestation services. This new system allows applicants to schedule appointments directly through an official online portal, eliminating the need for any booking fees. This change is part of an effort to enhance the efficiency of the application process and curb unauthorized service charges.

Both the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now managing consular services directly from their offices. The goal of this initiative is to simplify the overall process for applicants while ensuring that unnecessary fees are avoided. The missions have emphasized that the only legitimate way to book appointments for these services is through the official online portal.

In light of this update, officials urge applicants to avoid paying any individual, agency, or intermediary that claims to offer appointment bookings or expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions. This advice comes as a precaution against fraudulent activities and misleading representations.

The missions have issued a warning against any organization or representative falsely claiming to be authorized to facilitate these appointment services. Those who suspect they have been misled, overcharged, or falsely represented are encouraged to report such incidents via the official contact channels provided by the Embassy or Consulate.

For Indian nationals residing in the UAE and travelers, the recommendation is to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for information regarding consular services. This approach will help them avoid falling victim to fraud and incurring unnecessary charges.
