Google’s AI Assistant Gemini Now Creates Presentations

Date:

Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, has a new capability. A new feature in the Gemini Canvas workspace allows the AI to read any text-based document or report and automatically generate a complete, structured Google Slides presentation from it.
This tool is a massive time-saver. Instead of manually copying and formatting, users can now rely on AI to interpret their text. The AI builds a deck with titles, logical section breaks, and even relevant visuals, all professionally themed.
This update significantly expands the utility of Gemini. It’s no longer just a tool for writing and brainstorming; it’s now a powerful assistant for visual design and presentation, turning ideas into polished slides almost instantly.
For professionals and students, this could redefine how quickly they can prepare for meetings and lectures. The heavy lifting of initial slide creation is now automated, freeing up time for content refinement and practice.
The feature is currently rolling out globally to both personal Google accounts and Workspace users. It appears to be available to Gemini Advanced (Pro) subscribers first, with a wider rollout for all users expected to follow soon.
